I often speak with guests who are happy to peruse the menu when they come in but still order their favorite sandwich every time because, as I tell them with a smile, “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.” Indeed, there is much truth to that saying, especially as our burgers and fries are so good people return specifically for a repeat experience. However, I often think that the comfort of a tried-and-true dish can hold you back from the delight of discovering a new favorite.

Thankfully, you can have the best of both worlds. There’s no better way to stretch your Joe’s Farm Grill experience than by ordering your old favorite with an adventurous dish from our side substitution menu. It doesn’t cost anything to change your side to tangy Asian coleslaw made with our Thai Vinaigrette, a dish of fresh fruit, or the vegetable of the day created by our talented kitchen staff.

But really, you don’t want to miss our specialty side selections, especially our panko-breaded rosemary dill onion rings. SO much love goes into these crisp bites of deliciousness because we bread them by hand every day, and sometimes all day. It’s only $2.49 to upgrade to a half order of six rings with your meal.

Don’t even get me started on our Baked Potato fries, with gobs of sour cream, cheese, bacon, and chives on top, or our Sweet Potato fries with the Pineapple Serrano dipping sauce, or our Garlic fries oozing with Peccorino Romano cheese and buttery garlic… Eating is better than talking, right? So jazz up your burger or chicken sandwich with a half order of any of our specialty fried items and good luck keeping other people in your party from “tasting”.

New England vs. Seattle: The Super Bowl Sandwich Face Off

For seven years running, Joe’s Farm Grill has brought a unique twist to the Super Bowl celebration by creating dishes that represent the cities of the rival football teams. I must admit watching the playoff semi-finals is particularly exciting when such high culinary stakes accompany the winners! This year we have the distinct pleasure to introduce the “Battle of the Fish Sandwiches”, as the competing teams of Seattle and New England both hail from regions known for their seafood.

Representing the Seattle Seahawks, we have a scrumptious Grilled Salmon BLT sandwich (11.99). Our wild-caught Pacific Coho salmon nestles in a bed of fresh lettuce with three pieces of applewood-smoked bacon, ripe tomatoes, and dill aioli sauce on a toasted Kaiser bun. It even comes with garlic fries, though for no extra charge you can substitute any other homemade side dish, including our rosemary dill onion rings. This sandwich is so good it may even console Packers fans! (Ok, maybe that’s a stretch…)

In its scrimmage against the West Coast competition, we present the New England Patriots’ Fried Cod sandwich (11.99), made with fresh Atlantic cod and sizzling with crispy golden panko-breaded goodness. Smothered with house-made tartar sauce, sharp cheddar cheese, and just enough Joe’s Farm Grill pickles to give it a zing, this sandwich is served with authentic Boston Baked Beans made from scratch according to an 1896 original recipe, cole slaw, and french fries. I’m not inflating the truth when I say this sandwich is a winner!

If your competitive juices are still fired up after you’ve tried the sandwiches, cool off with one of our Super Bowl milkshakes. Celebrate Seattle with a stiff dose of Starbucks coffee blended in vanilla ice cream, chopped chocolate-covered espresso beans, and topped with green home-made whipped cream (4.49). Or go East Coast with vanilla ice cream mixed with fresh cranberry juice, chocolate-covered cranberries, and finished with the stunning blue whipped cream that completes our New England Cranberry Shake (4.49).

So support your team, your team’s rival, or just flip a coin to try these delicious sandwiches and milkshakes that face off from January 23 to February 1, 2015.

As for me, since the Cardinals didn’t make it this year, I think I’m going to root for the team of my favorite sandwich. Now, which one to choose…
